To be successful as a Shop Manager you should have excellent people management skills and a good understanding of business operations. An outstanding Shop Manager should be able to ensure the smooth operations and maximum profitability of a shop.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties:
- Daily administrative duties (Credit Notes, PO’s, Cash Receipts, Cash-ups, Stock Control)
- Weekly employees’ time sheets
- Greets customers, orders stock and interacts with vendors delivering goods
- Creating the employees’ schedule
- Training new employees
- Supervising daily activities
- Creates reports, showing the daily and monthly sales
- Implement loss prevention strategies
- Determine how much stock to order based on previous sales
- Controlling expenses and avoiding waste
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Enjoys working with the public
- Efficient in math and/or accounting
- Merchandising and displaying products to help boost sales
- Basic Computer Skills
- Working knowledge of an Accounting system
Working Hours – Monday to Friday 7am till 5pm and alternate Saturdays 8am till 2pm
